- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 (15 oz) can corn, drained
- 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 (1 oz) packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend)
- 1 tsp chili powder (optional for extra spice)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado, cilantro, tortilla chips
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant.
- Stir in taco seasoning, chili powder, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, corn, and broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 20–25 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings like cheese, sour cream, avocado, or tortilla chips.
Notes
