Description
These creepy Eyeball Cake Pops are the ultimate spooky Halloween treat! Moist cake is shaped into balls, dipped in white chocolate, and decorated with candy eyes and red frosting veins for a fun and deliciously eerie dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box vanilla or red velvet cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese or vanilla frosting
- 12–15 lollipop sticks
- 2 cups white candy melts or white chocolate
- 1/2 cup red candy melts or red decorating gel
- 12–15 candy eyeballs
- Blue or green decorating gel (for iris details, optional)
Instructions
- Bake the cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl.
- Mix in the frosting until the mixture holds together like dough.
- Shape into small balls and insert a lollipop stick into each one.
- Chill cake pops in the freezer for about 20 minutes to firm up.
- Melt white candy melts or chocolate until smooth.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted coating, ensuring an even layer.
- Before the coating sets, press a candy eyeball onto the center of each pop.
- Use red candy melts or gel to pipe “veins” radiating from the eyeball for a spooky effect.
- Add blue or green gel around the candy eye for extra iris details (optional). Let set and serve.
Notes
For an even scarier look, use red velvet cake inside so the pops have a bloody effect when bitten into!
