Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box brownie mix (or homemade brownie batter)
- Ingredients called for on brownie mix box (usually eggs, oil, water)
- White candy melts or white chocolate chips
- Black decorating gel or black icing
- Red decorating gel or red icing
- Candy eyeballs (optional, or make your own with white and black icing)
Instructions
- Prepare brownies: Preheat oven and prepare brownie batter according to package or recipe instructions. Pour into a greased baking pan.
- Bake: Bake brownies as directed. Let cool completely.
- Decorate eyeballs: Melt white candy melts and drop small circles on parchment paper to make white eyeball bases. Let harden.
- Add pupils: Use black decorating gel or icing to add pupils to the white candy circles.
- Add red veins: Use red decorating gel to pipe thin ‘veins’ around the eyeballs for a creepy effect.
- Assemble: Place candy eyeballs on cooled brownies, or pipe eyes directly onto the brownies using melted candy and gels.
- Serve: Slice and enjoy your spooky eyeball brownies!
Notes
Use store-bought candy eyeballs to save time, or get creative and make your own with icing. Store brownies in an airtight container to keep them moist.
