Description

A classic Southern pecan pie that’s buttery, gooey, and full of nutty flavor. 🥧✨ This easy traditional recipe will guide you through 7 simple steps to create the perfect holiday dessert everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
    • For the Crust:
    • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

  • For the Filling:
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place your pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
  2. Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the pecan halves, making sure they’re evenly coated in the filling mixture.
  4. Step 4: Pour the filling into the prepared crust and arrange the pecans evenly on top.
  5. Step 5: Bake for 55–60 minutes, until the center is just set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Step 6: If the crust edges brown too quickly, cover them with foil halfway through baking.
  7. Step 7: Cool completely before slicing to allow the filling to set. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!

Notes

💡 Tip: For extra depth of flavor, substitute half the corn syrup with maple syrup or dark corn syrup. Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to 5 days.
