- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add to wet ingredients. Mix until dough forms.
- Scoop dough by tablespoonfuls onto the baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Dough can be refrigerated for up to 2 days before baking.
