- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for strawberries)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream, whipped

- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in melted butter until crumbly. Press half of the mixture into the prepared pan to form the base.
- In another bowl, toss strawberries with 2 tbsp sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Spread strawberries evenly over the base. Spread whipped cream over the strawberries.
- Crumble the remaining base mixture over the top.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden on top. Cool completely before slicing into bars.
Notes
Optional: Add a teaspoon of lemon zest to strawberries for extra brightness. Store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
