- 12 oz noodles (ramen, linguine, or lo mein)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 3 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish

- Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute.
- In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, sesame oil, cornstarch, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour sauce into the skillet and simmer 3–5 minutes until thickened.
- Add cooked noodles and toss until fully coated.
- Stir in green onions and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add shredded carrots or sautéed bell peppers. Swap beef for ground turkey or chicken if preferred.
