- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix soup with milk until smooth.
- Layer half of the potatoes in the baking dish, season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Top with half of the beef, onions, soup mixture, and cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 15–20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can substitute cream of mushroom with cream of chicken soup. Add vegetables like carrots or peas for extra nutrition.
