These Easy Hershey’s Red Velvet Blossoms Cookies are soft, chewy, and perfectly red with a chocolate kiss center. They’re quick to make, festive, and ideal for holidays, parties, or any chocolate lover craving a tender, melt-in-your-mouth treat!

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Hershey’s Kisses (unwrapped), about 24
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in egg, vanilla extract, and red food coloring until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers still soft.
- Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Do not overbake for soft, chewy centers. For extra red color, add a few drops more food coloring. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze dough for later baking.
