This Easy Classic Red Sangria is a refreshing and fruity Spanish-inspired drink made with red wine, brandy, citrus, and a touch of sweetness. Perfect for summer parties, BBQs, and holiday gatherings, it’s quick to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (optional)
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey (to taste)
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • 1 apple, thinly sliced
  • 12 cups club soda or lemon-lime soda
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine red wine, brandy, orange liqueur, and sugar or honey. Stir until the sweetener is dissolved.
  2. Add orange, lemon, lime, and apple slices. Stir well.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Before serving, add club soda or lemon-lime soda for fizz.
  5. Serve chilled over ice with extra fruit garnish.

Notes

For extra sweetness, use lemon-lime soda instead of club soda. You can also swap in seasonal fruits like peaches, berries, or pomegranate for a twist.
