  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla and mix until fully combined.
  4. Stir in the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix just until combined—do not overmix.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are set and lightly golden but the center remains soft.
  9. Let cool completely before slicing for the cleanest bars.

Notes
