- 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix in melted butter, sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
- Add baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir gently.
- Fold in flour just until combined. Add optional chocolate chips or nuts.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and moisture. For a richer flavor, substitute half the butter with yogurt or sour cream.
