This Delicious Ricotta Dip with Hot Honey is creamy, silky, and irresistibly flavorful. Whipped ricotta is topped with warm, sweet heat from hot honey, making it the perfect quick appetizer for gatherings, holidays, or everyday snacking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 2–3 tablespoons hot honey
- Fresh thyme or basil, for topping (optional)
- To serve: crostini, crackers, pita chips, or fresh veggies
Instructions
- In a food processor or mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
- Blend or whip until smooth, creamy, and slightly fluffy—about 1 minute.
- Transfer the whipped ricotta to a shallow bowl or serving plate.
- Warm the hot honey slightly in the microwave for 5–10 seconds.
- Drizzle the hot honey generously over the ricotta.
- Top with fresh herbs if desired.
- Serve immediately with crostini, crackers, or veggies.
Notes
For extra flavor, add lemon zest to the ricotta before whipping. If you don’t have hot honey, mix regular honey with a pinch of red pepper flakes. This dip can be made ahead—simply whip the ricotta and refrigerate, then add the hot honey just before serving.
