  • 1 package (16 oz) frozen pierogis
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Add frozen pierogis, sliced kielbasa, and diced onion to the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix sour cream, milk, garlic, cheddar cheese (reserve 1/4 cup), paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour mixture over pierogis and kielbasa.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1.5–2 hours, until pierogis are tender.
  5. Sprinkle reserved cheddar cheese on top and cook 10–15 more minutes until melted.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

You can add sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers for extra flavor. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
