- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork (optional for juiciness)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup French onion soup mix
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

- In a bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until combined and form into 1–2 inch meatballs.
- Place meatballs in the crockpot.
- In a skillet, sauté onions and garlic until soft and lightly caramelized (optional but adds flavor).
- Transfer onions and garlic to the crockpot over the meatballs.
- Pour beef broth over everything, sprinkle French onion soup mix, and add Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5–6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with water and stir into sauce 15–20 minutes before serving to thicken.
- Serve meatballs with sauce over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
Notes
You can substitute turkey or chicken for a lighter version. Add mushrooms for extra flavor. Leftovers taste even better the next day.
