- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt, or to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- Optional: chopped cilantro for garnish

- Place chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix tomato sauce, yogurt, garlic, ginger, garam masala, paprika, turmeric, chili powder, and salt.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
- Stir in butter and heavy cream until fully combined and creamy.
- Serve hot over rice or with naan bread, and garnish with cilantro if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, marinate chicken in yogurt and spices for 1–2 hours before cooking. Adjust chili powder to your preferred heat level. Leftovers taste even better the next day.
