These Crispy Baked Ground Beef Tacos are cheesy, crunchy, and incredibly easy to make! With seasoned beef, melty cheese, and perfectly crisp tortillas baked to golden perfection, they’re the ultimate weeknight dinner everyone will love.

- For the Beef Filling:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce or 1/4 cup water
- Salt & pepper to taste
- For the Tacos:
- 10–12 small corn or flour tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- Cooking spray or oil
- Optional Toppings:
- Sour cream
- Shredded lettuce
- Salsa or pico de gallo
- Avocado or guacamole
- Jalapeños
- Hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce (or water). Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
- Warm tortillas in the microwave for 20–30 seconds until flexible.
- Lightly spray or brush each tortilla with oil.
- Add a spoonful of beef mixture and a sprinkle of cheese to each tortilla, then fold in half.
- Place folded tacos on the baking sheet. Bake for 8–10 minutes.
- Flip tacos and bake another 5–7 minutes until crispy and golden.
- Top with your favorite garnishes and serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, place tacos directly on the oven rack for the last 2–3 minutes. You can substitute beef with chicken, turkey, or refried beans. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for the best crunch!
