- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Optional garnish: fresh parsley or grated Parmesan

- Brown beef: In a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease and set beef aside.
- Make garlic butter base: In the same pot, melt butter. Add onion and cook 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add liquids & pasta: Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Stir in pasta, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Simmer: Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat. Cover and simmer 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
- Add beef & cheese: Return cooked beef to the pot. Stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve: Garnish with parsley or Parmesan and serve hot.
Notes
For extra richness, add a tablespoon of cream cheese. You can also mix in spinach or mushrooms during the last few minutes of cooking.
