  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 whole head of garlic, peeled and divided into 1012 cloves
  • 1 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/4 cup half and half or heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup finely grated fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, for garnish
