- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- For crumb topping:
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the prepared crust.
- For the crumb topping, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apple filling.
- Bake for 45–50 minutes, until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Cover edges with foil if browning too quickly.
- Cool for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
