Description

These Cinnamon-Baked Pears are a warm, cozy dessert that highlights the natural sweetness of pears with a touch of cinnamon and honey. Perfect for fall or as a light holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional)
  • Vanilla yogurt or ice cream, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Place pear halves cut-side up in the dish.
  3. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  4. Top with nuts and dried fruit if using.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until pears are tender.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla yogurt or ice cream.

Notes

Bosc or Anjou pears work best for baking. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey. Great make-ahead dessert for gatherings.
