  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme or rosemary
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

  1. Pound chicken breasts to even thickness.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, and thyme.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and nearly cooked through.
  5. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and smashed garlic to the skillet.
  6. Spoon melted garlic butter over chicken for 1–2 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Remove from heat and rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For true steakhouse flavor, let chicken rest at room temperature 15 minutes before cooking. Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
