Description

These Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread Bowls are creamy, cheesy, garlicky, and irresistibly comforting. Toasty bread bowls are brushed with garlic butter, filled with homemade chicken Alfredo, topped with melty mozzarella, and baked until bubbly—an easy but impressive dinner everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 small round bread boules (or large dinner rolls)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the tops off each bread boule and hollow out the centers, keeping the walls sturdy.
  2. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan, and a pinch of salt. Brush the inside and rims of each bread bowl generously with the mixture.
  3. Place the bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes to slightly crisp them.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the Alfredo. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add Parmesan and stir until smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then stir in the cooked chicken. Simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
  7. Fill each pre-baked garlic bread bowl with the chicken Alfredo mixture.
  8. Top each bowl with shredded mozzarella and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve warm with extra Parmesan, parsley, or red pepper flakes.

Notes

For added flavor, sprinkle extra garlic butter inside the bowls before filling. Rotisserie chicken makes this recipe even faster. Feel free to add spinach, broccoli, or cooked bacon to the Alfredo mixture for variation. Best served immediately so the bread stays crisp.
