- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon orange zest (1–2 oranges)
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in dried cranberries and white chocolate chips (if using).
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake 9–11 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
Notes
For extra citrus punch, add a drizzle of orange glaze on top. Cookies stay soft for 4–5 days in an airtight container and can be frozen for up to 2 months.
