Description
This Cheesy Pull Apart Christmas Bread is festive, buttery, garlicky, and stuffed with melty cheese. Shaped like a Christmas tree, it’s the perfect holiday appetizer—fun to make, beautiful to serve, and irresistibly delicious.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
- 12–16 mozzarella cheese sticks or cubes
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 12–16 equal squares.
- Place a piece of mozzarella cheese in the center of each square and pinch edges tightly to form sealed balls.
- Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet in the shape of a Christmas tree.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt.
- Brush the garlic butter generously over the dough balls.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted inside.
- Remove from the oven and brush with additional garlic butter if desired.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
Stuff the dough with mozzarella pearls, cubes, or string cheese pieces—anything melty works! Make ahead by assembling the tree, covering it well, and refrigerating until baking time. Try adding pepperoni, cooked sausage, or a blend of cheeses for extra flavor.
