Description

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chopped pecans, toasted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter & sugars: Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs & vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. Mix dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture until just combined. Fold in toasted pecans.
  6. Bake: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Cool & enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

To toast pecans, bake them on a sheet at 350°F for 5–7 minutes until fragrant. Let cool before adding to dough.
