Description

Spooky, sweet, and festive, this Bloody Red Velvet Popcorn is perfect for Halloween parties. Red velvet coating with a ‘bloody’ drizzle makes it fun and irresistible!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups popped popcorn (about 1/2 cup kernels)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Red food coloring
  • Optional: red sprinkles or crushed candy for extra ‘blood’ effect

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn and set aside in a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt white chocolate and butter in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Add red food coloring to the melted chocolate to create a deep red ‘red velvet’ color.
  4. Pour the red chocolate over the popcorn and gently stir to coat evenly.
  5. Spread popcorn on a parchment-lined baking sheet to set.
  6. Optional: drizzle additional red chocolate or sprinkle red candies for a ‘bloody’ effect.
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

This popcorn can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container. Adjust the red coloring to achieve your preferred ‘bloody’ intensity.
