  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Prepare patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 4–6 patties.
  2. Cook patties: Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove patties and set aside.
  3. Make gravy: In the same skillet, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes until lightly browned.
  4. Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until gravy thickens, about 3–5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over them, and simmer 2–3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.

Notes
