This Best Herb Stuffing is loaded with fresh herbs, tender bread cubes, and savory flavor – the perfect side for Thanksgiving or any holiday feast.

- 1 loaf day-old French bread or sourdough, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 10 cups)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 celery stalks, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a large baking dish.
- Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet and toast 10–15 minutes until slightly crisp.
- In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onion, celery, and garlic until softened, about 5–6 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine toasted bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, and fresh herbs.
- Pour in broth and eggs, tossing gently until bread is evenly moistened.
- Transfer mixture into prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Serve warm with your holiday meal.
Notes
You can prepare this stuffing a day in advance and bake before serving. For extra crunch, add toasted pecans or walnuts.
