- 1 loaf day-old French bread, cubed
- 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 8 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Butter or nonstick spray for greasing

- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread half of the bread cubes evenly in the dish and top with half the blueberries.
- Repeat with remaining bread and blueberries.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the bread.
- Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until set and golden on top.
- Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with powdered sugar, maple syrup, or a lemon glaze. Frozen blueberries can be used without thawing.
