Description
This Berry Hibiscus Iced Tea is a bold, fruity blend of hibiscus flowers and mixed berries, naturally caffeine-free and full of vibrant color. Lightly sweetened and chilled to perfection, it’s the perfect summer refreshment or elegant mocktail base.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups water
- ¼ cup dried hibiscus flowers (or 4 hibiscus tea bags)
- 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
- 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- Ice, for serving
- Garnish: lemon slices, fresh berries, mint sprig
Instructions
- Steep Hibiscus: Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, add hibiscus flowers (or tea bags), and steep for 10–15 minutes.
- Sweeten & Flavor: Strain the tea into a pitcher. While still warm, stir in honey or maple syrup and lemon juice if using.
- Cool & Add Berries: Let cool to room temperature. Add berries and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to infuse.
- Serve: Pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint.
Notes
Adjust sweetness to taste or leave unsweetened for a tart finish. Swap honey for agave or sugar-free syrup to make it vegan or low-carb. Can also be blended for a berry hibiscus slush.
