- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp grated Gruyère or Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (chives, parsley, or tarragon) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease 4 small ramekins with butter.
- Pour 1 tbsp heavy cream into each ramekin.
- Crack one egg into each ramekin and season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle grated cheese over each egg.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the whites are set but yolks remain slightly runny.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately with toast or a light salad.
