- Color and shape: Divide dough if desired and tint part with food coloring. Shape dough into logs or form a heart shape using colored dough in the center.
- Chill: Wrap dough tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Slice and bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice chilled dough into 1/4-inch rounds and place on a lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but not browned. Cool on a wire rack.
