- 1 (14 oz) package little smokies sausages
- 1 lb bacon, cut into thirds
- 1 cup brown sugar
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (for heat)
- Optional: maple syrup or hot honey for drizzling
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Cut each strip of bacon into 3 pieces.
- Wrap each little smoky with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Arrange the wrapped smokies on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle generously with brown sugar. Add cayenne if using.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the sugar is caramelized.
- Optional: Drizzle with maple syrup or hot honey for extra flavor.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For extra crispy bacon, place the smokies on a wire rack set over the baking sheet. You can prepare these ahead by wrapping the smokies and refrigerating them up to 24 hours before baking. Serve with BBQ sauce, honey mustard, or ranch for dipping!
