- 1/4 cup orange liqueur (like Triple Sec or Cointreau)
- 1/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1 apple, cored and chopped
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1 to 2 cups soda water or lemon-lime soda (for topping, optional)
- Ice for serving
Instructions
- Mix Liquids: In a large pitcher, stir together the wine, brandy, orange liqueur, orange juice, and sugar until sugar dissolves.
- Add Fruit: Add sliced orange, lemon, chopped apple, and cinnamon stick if using. Stir gently.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld.
- Serve: Fill glasses with ice, pour sangria over, and top with soda water or lemon-lime soda for fizz if desired. Garnish with extra fruit slices.
Notes
For best flavor, use a good-quality, dry Spanish red wine and let it chill overnight. You can swap in seasonal fruits like berries or peaches. Sangria can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
