- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups sliced potatoes (about 3 medium potatoes)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Grease a 9Γ13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and onions over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and remove from heat.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the potatoes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Pour evenly over the beef.
- Top with remaining sliced potatoes, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
