Description
Crispy, spicy, and incredibly satisfying, this Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower is the ultimate plant-based snack or appetizer. Coated in a zesty buffalo sauce and air-fried until golden, it’s perfect for game day, parties, or guilt-free munching.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1/2 cup water or unsweetened plant-based milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter or vegan butter
Instructions
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a batter.
- Coat the Cauliflower: Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off any excess. Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
- Air Fry: Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Add Buffalo Sauce: In a bowl, toss cooked cauliflower with a mixture of buffalo sauce and melted butter until evenly coated.
- Crisp Again (Optional): Return to air fryer for another 3–5 minutes for extra crispiness.
Notes
Serve with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing for the ultimate experience. For a milder version, mix buffalo sauce with a bit of honey or yogurt. Make sure florets are similar in size for even cooking.
