- 1/2 tsp black pepper

- In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.

- In a large bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Add diced potatoes and cooked beef mixture to the soup mixture. Stir until evenly combined.
- Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until potatoes are tender and casserole is golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired before serving.
