Description
This 4-Ingredient Orange Chicken is the ultimate weeknight dinner hack! Crispy chicken coated in a sticky-sweet orange glaze—no deep fryer or complicated steps required. Ready in under 30 minutes, it’s a family favorite shortcut meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) frozen popcorn chicken or crispy chicken bites, cooked according to package
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (preferably hickory or sweet)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Instructions
- Cook Chicken: Prepare the popcorn chicken according to the package instructions (bake or air fry until crispy).
- Make Orange Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together orange marmalade, barbecue sauce, and soy sauce. Simmer for 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
- Toss to Coat: Add cooked chicken to a large bowl and pour sauce over top. Toss gently until all pieces are coated evenly.
- Serve: Serve hot over white rice, with green onions or sesame seeds for garnish if desired.
Notes
You can make this with fresh chicken tenders if preferred—just cook them first. Add red pepper flakes to the sauce for a spicy kick. Works great as a meal prep lunch too!
