  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • For the sauce:
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional: sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

  1. Prepare meatballs: In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper. Form into 12–16 meatballs.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs 4–5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, cornstarch, sesame oil, and minced garlic.
  4. Pour sauce into the skillet and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
  5. Add meatballs to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat. You can also bake the meatballs for a lighter option.
